BACKGROUND:

Since Alcoa opened Davenport Works aluminum facility in 1948, the company has been at the forefront of American manufacturing. Nestled on the banks of the Mississippi River in Iowa, the plant employs over 2,400 people and is a focal point of the global aluminum industry, with 25 percent of revenues coming from exports. Davenport Works produces innovative rolled and sheet aluminum products for the automotive, aerospace, aircraft, and military armor industries.

Scope of Work:

Armstrong International operates and maintains the steam generation equipment, all associated auxiliary equipment to provide steam, and condensate return to meet production demands as required by the facility. Armstrong also operates and maintains facility-wide HVAC to maintain plant comfort levels for heating and ventilation while maintaining gas consumption requirements. Armstrong’s team is responsible for plant-wide coolant heat system to provide hot milling and cutting fluid to mill processes. The total number of pieces of equipment that Armstrong’s Service Group oversees exceeds 200.
