Managing and Maintaining Steam Trap Population

McMaster University

Hamilton, Ontario

Scope of Work:

Armstrong International, through its Canadian affiliate Armserv, provides complete oversight of the steam trap population in all the academic buildings on campus.  This responsibility includes: surveying the steam traps, database management, providing failure reports, upgrade recommendations, and replacing all failed equipment with approved replacements.  Armstrong also reports on all steam/condensate inefficiencies noticed during building walk-throughs.

McMaster University now has a crew of experienced and committed personnel to oversee equipment they were never able to properly prioritize the time required.  The University now realizes lower steam consumption and significantly lower fuel costs as a result.
