Did you know: Armstrong boilers, at a ketchup facility, produce less CO and NOX emissions/yr than the average person’s vehicle does in the same year.

STEAMIX® VE Steam and Water Mixing Units
Assembly VE—Value engineered
The aggressively priced STEAMIX® VE consists of a STEAMIX steam/water mixing valve of brass/stainless steel construction with optional nickel-plated finish.
STEAMIX VE is supplied as standard with a quarter-turn ball valve for outlet flow control and a dual-scale thermometer, for use as a base mixing valve.
Mixing valves are recommended for use as steam/water heaters for use in various vessel filling, container “top off,” barrel washing and similar applications.
Safety
- In the event of either a complete failure of the inlet cold-water supply or a reduction in cold-water pressure to below 20 (+/-5) psi (1.4 bar) STEAMIX VE will respond with a complete shutdown of outlet flow.
- If there is a structural failure of the primary operating component (diaphragm), STEAMIX VE will “fail safe” to cold water.
- To prevent over-temperature selection by the user and the potential for overheated water and flash steam presentation common with other types of hose stations, STEAMIX VE is supplied as standard with a single-temperature lock-out feature. A maximum-temperature limiting option is also available.
