Did you know: Armstrong can solve your water hammer problems.

Steam and Water Mixing

Steam and water mixing can be an economical alternative to hot-water storage or central heat-exchange systems, because existing plant steam is used to heat cold water instantly at the point of use.

Mechanical and Thermostatic Systems

The Steamix mechanical steam and water mixing valve will not pass live steam in the event of either a significant pressure reduction or complete failure of the cold-water supply. Its simple, rugged construction places service life and user safety at the forefront of its design principle.

Armstrong thermostatic steam and water mixing valve’s consistently offer superior temperature accuracy across a wide range of conditions. A selection of valve sizes up to 78 GPM (295 LPM) is available, and these valves are excellent for hot water vessel filling or high volume process applications.

Electronic Systems: MegaMix™ —The Future Now

Capability. Precision. Ruggedness. Simplicity. The MegaMix™ makes no compromises when it comes to supplying blended water. This line of 3-port steam and water mixing units is controlled by an electronic actuator. It aggressively responds to changes in input pressure and temperature to maintain water temperature to ± 1˚F (± 0.5˚C).

The MegaMix features a shear action disc rotated over the inlet ports to allow blending across the range of liquid water—anywhere between 32˚F and 212˚F (0˚C and 100˚C). The integrated electronic controller and temperature probe provide a complete “out-of-the-box” temperature control solution.

In addition to working well as a stand-alone device, the MegaMix has 4-20mA input and output control signals to allow interface with other remote controllers or a building automation system. The actuator is software configurable.
