Scope of Work:
Armstrong International analyzed the condition of this refinery’s 7,000 steam traps and made recommendations for improvements/ replacements. All recommended upgrades to the steam traps were executed in 4 months. This included the repair/replacement of 1,200 steam traps, as well as leak repairs and several other steam/condensate system improvements.
Upgrade Projects:
- Survey analysis of 7,000 steam traps
- Replacement of 1,200 steam traps
- Repair of steam leaks
- Recovery of condensate thru flash recovery and increased collection
Time of Service:
Work started and completed in 1997.
Benefits:
Marathon realized over $1 million in energy savings and awarded Armstrong Service its prestigious “ACE Award” for outstanding achievement (see letter of reference).
