What is it about the Bible that most people reject?  Why are they afraid to open it and read it?  Why is it every time you go to pick it up, something tells you, "You don't want to do that!  You don't have time for that!  By the way, aren't you a little sleepy?  wouldn't you rather take a little nap?"

In my office study, hundreds of books line my shelves.  Impressive?  Only if I actually take them from the shelves, open them, and read them.  Otherwise they are just decorations.  Something to make people think I am a very scholarly and educated individual.

So, take the Bible.  I challenge you.  Find one, wherever you are in the world.  Hold it.  Open it.  Read it.  Meditate on the words.  Look at the history.  Find the truth.  My real challenge?  Prove it wrong if you can.

A man walks in to any church in the world, carrying a huge Bible.  Another man shows by his apparel that he is a religious man.  Yet another tells everyone how religious he is by his proper religious language and posture.  What do all these have in common?  They carry their religion outwardly by their appearance.

Give me a man, woman, or child who is willing to open the Bible and find life in the absolute truth and I will show you someone who is willing to change from the inside out.  Everything about them changes.  Their lifestyle changes.  Their words change.  The friends change.  Their heart has been changed.

2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

Pick up a Bible and God will show you where you have been living apart and separated from Him.  He will begin to teach you His doctine of truth.  This truth will bring you reproof of how you have been living in the wrong ways.  God will show you the correct way to live.  He will instruct you in how to live righteously before Him.

Don't open that Bible ... unless you really want the truth!  I challenge you!
