THREE RIVERS -- Armstrong International in Three Rivers recently received key direction in a design project from an unexpected source - two very bright college students in Jon Rumohr and Neal Sheldon. The pair are Western University Michigan students and they proved to be very key in the successful development of the design and optimization of a piping system for a water heating package for the company.
For their undaunted collective efforts, Rumohr and Sheldon were recognized recently by both Armstrong International and WMU personnel at the "44th Conference on Senior Engineering Design Projects" on the campus of WMU.
"It has been my distinct pleasure to have had several of our employees here work side by side with two extremely talented young men in Neal Sheldon and Jon Rumohr representing Western Michigan University," cited David Armstrong, President and Chief Executive Officer of Armstrong Global Holdings, Inc. "Their presence and value which they brought to our company through their entrepreneurial skills, certainly serves to magnify the success of this project."
Paul Knight, one of several Armstrong International employees that worked closely with the WMU students in the project design phase, had nothing but high praise to offer the pair as well.
"This final design conception will certainly help carry our company to the next level as a leader in today's market," revealed Knight, who serves as Director of Global Hot Water Markets based in Three Rivers. "Jon and Neal's contributions serve to set a new standard for our future work efforts here."
