Armstrong Introduces HumidiClean™ Series HC-6000 Humidifier Featuring Ionic Bed Technology

Three Rivers, Mich., – Armstrong International, Inc., a world leader in intelligent system solutions for steam, air and hot water utility applications, introduces HumidiClean Series HC-6000 humidifier, featuring ionic bed technology that provides clean, trouble-free humidification for a variety of highly sensitive end-use applications such as hospitals, schools, museums, electronics manufacturing and more. The HumidiClean HC-6000 features a patented ionic bed technology that traps minerals and solids that cause scale buildup on tank walls and heating elements of traditional humidifiers. Scale buildup results in reduced operation efficiency, increased service maintenance costs and reduced humidifier service life.

Ionic bed technology is what separates HumidiClean HC-6000 from all other types of humidifiers. Microscopic ionic bed fibers collect and trap up to 90% of the minerals and solids that are present in water. As power is supplied to the unit, water enters and fills the tank. The heating elements are then energized and as the water temperature rises, particles are attracted to the ionic beds like metal is to a magnet. When 90% of the ionic bed capacity has been reached, an LED light on the control panel illuminates to signal the need to replace the beds. Depending on water quality and desired service life, the standard HumidiClean HC-6000 can provide up to 1,000 hours of service before the ionic beds need to be changed. Replacing the ionic beds on the HumidiClean HC-6000 is easy and replacement cost is less than the cost of replacing the tank on traditional humidifiers. Additional benefits include reduced water consumption resulting in energy savings, reduced cleaning and maintenance costs and longer service life.
