Three Rivers, Mich. - Armstrong International, Inc., a world leader in intelligent system solutions for steam, air and hot water utility applications, announces that six Western Michigan University (WMU) students are winners of the Armstrong Endowment for Energy Management scholarship. The recipients include Trisha Janicki, Michael Folck, David Williams, Brian Naiman, Jason Thomas and Ryan Lake. All are chemical engineering students who participate in the energy management option of WMU's chemical engineering program, which provides hands-on involvement with industry professionals to advance the knowledge and understanding of students seeking professional careers in the energy industry.

"Knowledge and efficient management of energy is so critical to our world today and Armstrong's support through these scholarships helps us advance our mission to educate and encourage students to pursue a career in energy," said Dr. Peter Parker, professor at WMU's College of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

The $400,000 Armstrong endowment was established in 2001 and scholarships are awarded annually to WMU chemical engineering students who meet academic and other criteria.
