In order to operate, SteamStar must be “fed” with information about the traps. There are two ways to supply this data: either by collecting the data manually, which requires a technician to physically test each trap (generally once a year); or by collecting the data continuously and automatically, using Armstrong's wireless monitoring tool - SteamEye®.
SteamEye® is installed on the pipeline upstream of the trap. This makes it completely universal - in fact, it can be used on any make or type of trap. SteamEye monitors the operation of the steam traps 24/7. The results are transmitted by radio frequency (RF) to a central gateway, and could be transmitted to SteamStar if Internet connection is available.
This makes SteamStar and SteamEye the ideal combination for managing your steam trap system!

What about your existing trap surveys? Trap surveys you made in the past are not lost!
