Yesterday as I walked out of our worship service, did I change when I exited the building?  No!  I walked into the building where the church gathers as a believer in Christ.  When I walked out after the service, I was still that same believer. 

I am a Christian, regardless of sitting in a sanctuary, sitting in my home, or a restaurant.  I am a Christian while I am at work.  I carry the name of "Christ" in my belief as a "Christian".  If at any time I turn off the "Christ" switch, I am left with only "ian" in my belief and "ian" then stands for "i am nothing." 

I carry the title of "Christian" wherever I go.  Comforting at times.  Challenging at other times.  I pray as I am being perfected that I become more aware of the times I lay aside that holy title for any kind of human gain or fleshly desire.

We are all being perfected with each day that passes.  Each individual, seen by God, known by God, in the process of change.  We are being perfected so that we may reflect the love, the grace, the mercy of God and His goodness to those who are in need of the same.

How does a company become an agent of change in the business world?  They become an agent of change by individuals who are being perfected by God to do His bidding.  With God changing the individual, He begins to change companies, cities, and nations.  He changes business practices that were shady from the worlds view to get ahead by individuals who refuse to bow to such practices.

As we learn to obey God in our daily lives, it changes everything around us.  Each of us have a circle of influence, regardless of your position in life.  From the housewife to the CEO, each of us can influence those around us to do what is right in God's eyes and obey His commandments. 

As God perfects each of us in our own personal obedience to Him and His will, we find a peace within that cannot be explained.  In our obedience, there comes a freedom.  Freedom in knowing we are being obedient to the will of a loving God who also loves the nations.  We begin to walk uprightly in our personal living as well as our business living.

We have the ability to influence the 7 mountains in our cultures:  business, government, media, arts & entertainment, education, the family, and religion.

An individual who is obedient to God wants to please God fully in his or her obedience.  He or she supports their church financially and the needs of that church are met.  That same individual goes into their daily work influencing the other mountains by also giving back as an agent of change for good with best products, best services, best marketing practices, best sales practices, best payments on time for those who are their vendors.  They see God in everything they do daily and wish for God to be seen and glorified.

Nothing works successfully if the individual raises self above serving God.  Self-promotion, self-seeking, self-advancement in business, all fall short in glorifying God.  Failure to truly succeed is inevitable.  But, glorifying God and seeking His will above ours brings a success that goes without measure.

God prefects a company by first perfecting the individual.  It is a thing of change by agents of change.  It is to be influenced by God before you even start your day. 

It is one day at a time that we are being perfected as well as the companies we work for.  Unless, that is, you turned off the "Christ" switch until next Sunday morning?
